Unawatuna is famous because of the beautiful beach where you can swim the whole year. Unawatuna is a good location for making excursions to Galle, Hikkaduwa, Matara, Adams Peak, tea-plantations, birds island, Yala park, Uda Walawe park, Kataragama and Tissamaharama and of course to the beach.
